How Grain Gym picks your next weight
Each program runs on a progression rule. What each of the 11 does with your last session.
For an exercise that uses bodyweight, such as a push-up or pull-up, the weight field shows BW and reps are what you need to enter. If you add a plate or a vest, enter that weight and it's recorded with the set.
Your body weight itself lives under Settings, then My Profile.
Settings, then Preferences has a switch called Count bodyweight in volume, on by default. It counts bodyweight in your training volume and leaves it out of strength scores.
Programs such as Dumbbell Full Body progress on reps first and weight second through double progression.
The library has three assisted exercises: Band Assisted Pull-Up, Band Assisted Dip and Machine Assisted Pull-Up. They log like any other exercise, with no special handling for the assistance, so use whatever number you'll recognise next time.

The Coach note on an exercise card recaps your last session before you lift and says what the program decided after you finish.
The Progress tab has five sections: Overview, History, Exercises, Insights and PRs. What each one shows.
